Yes, You Can Go Clubbing in Brussels

We know … Brussels is not exactly the party capital of Europe. It’s no Berlin or Barcelona. But, it doesn’t need to be. Although lowkey, the city’s party scene packs a mighty punch. From techno temples to church clubs, there are plenty of buzzing spots to see. Let’s talk about Brussel’s best nightlife:

Mirano is one of the best nightclubs in the city. Three stories, five bars, and one rotating dance floor sits inside this infamous venue. It used to be an old cinema, so the vintage architecture gives this spot a retro vibe. The crowd consists of young students and lively locals, dancing to house music on Fridays and hip-hop on Saturdays. Mirano is right in the mix–just north of the city center, with easy metro access and late-night eats nearby. The dance floor is usually packed by midnight, so get there early. Pro tip: the drinks can get expensive, so pregame heavy before arriving. Lastly, everyone wears their A game, so dress to impress.

Fuse is Brussels’ techno temple. It is one of the most famous electronic clubs around. Two stories, a huge dance floor, and a massive stereo system that will have you feeling the beat in your bones. Low lights, smoke machines, and lasers bring the vibes to this venue. Expect sweat, loud music, and no chance to have a coherent conversation. Fuse is for serious raving. No need to dress as flashy as Mirano, but be weary of long lines and cover charges, especially on big nights. On weekends, you’ll get the best house DJs in the country. Fuse is right near the metro stop at Midi Station, so transportation should be seamless.

Spirito is a nightclub inside a former Anglican church–it’s one of Brussels' most unique and upscale spots. The vibes are flashy, glamorous, and slightly entitled. You’ll party under chandeliers, stare off into stained-glass windows, and be in awe when lasers light up the lofty ceilings. This ‘dress nice’ club will play your favorite house, techno, and EDM music. Two floors, three bars, and a VIP lounge are all buzzing when Spirito is open on Fridays and Saturdays. The dress code is enforced and the drinks are expensive … so pregame heavy and wear your Sunday best.

Madame Moustache is a lively disco club that loves to mix the vibes up. They are a great change of pace from the heavy house mixes. Expect funk, 50s, and groovy tunes. There will be vibrant lights, warm colors, too many mirrors, and stained glass panels above the dancefloor. It’s got quite the retro vibe to it. Drinks are usually inexpensive and cover charges are rare. This quirky spot is open until 4 AM on Tuesdays–Saturdays. Madame attracts a mixed crowd of locals, students, and disco lovers from all around the globe. So, dress casual with a vintage vibe and you’ll fit right in.

C12 is the best underground rave in town. Hidden in an old shopping gallery, this electronic club is a staple of Brussels nightlife. Expect cheap drinks, few tourists, and less flash than Spirito or Mirano. It’s lowkey–making it feel like a true hidden gem. The vibes are less about flash and more about minimalism. Dress casual and expect a stress-free commute–C12 is located right near Central Station.

Brussels offers plenty of nightlife. Whether you’re a techno lover, a house head-bobber, or a disco enthusiast, the city has a club with your name on its list. Wherever you’re headed, just make sure to do your research to match your vibe to the venue’s style.
